Celebrate, Learn and Connect at Our Mid-Autumn Festival ESL Party

Would you like to practise English while enjoying mooncakes, Chinese tea and one of Asia’s most meaningful festivals?

ULC Academy invites you to our Mid-Autumn Festival ESL Party, hosted by the lively and encouraging Ms. Catherine. Join us on 22 or 23 September, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, for an interactive hour filled with food, culture, conversation and fun.

Whether you are new to English or already a confident speaker, this event offers a relaxed and welcoming environment where you can learn useful vocabulary, meet other students and experience the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Discover the Meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a celebration of reunion, togetherness and the beauty of the full moon. During the event, Ms. Catherine will introduce the festival’s history and explain the meaning behind its best-known traditions.

You will learn practical English words and expressions related to festivals, family, food and culture—all through engaging, real-life activities.

Enjoy a Rich Programme of Activities

This is more than an English lesson. It is a complete cultural experience featuring:

• Mooncake Tasting: Taste different mooncakes and describe their appearance, smell and flavour in English.

• Chinese Tea Experience: Discover how Chinese tea is traditionally served and learn useful vocabulary for describing its taste and aroma.

• Lanterns and Festival Traditions: Explore the meaning of lanterns, the full moon and other Mid-Autumn customs.

• Team Quiz and Prizes: Test your knowledge of mooncakes, traditions and English vocabulary in a fun team challenge.

• Culture Exchange: Share a special festival from your own country and learn about celebrations from around the world.

• Toast and Group Photo: Finish the party with a warm Mid-Autumn greeting and a memorable group photo.
